Robert D. "Rusty" Musgrave Jr, 60, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 with his loving family by his side.
Born in Ipswich MA on October 13, 1953, "Rusty" or "Dale", as he was called by the many people who loved him, graduated from Wells High School in Wells Maine, Class of 1972. He went on to East Coast Aero Tech Class of 1974 – Aviation Mechanic/Electrician. He returned home to become a Master Electrician and began working at Gloucester Engineering in 1976, where he continued to work until his recent hospitalization. During his many years at GEC he has traveled all over the world and met many people who he remained friends with until this day.
Growing up, the family moved from Essex to Wells Maine to open a restaurant named "The Sea Turn". Family run, "The Sea Turn" became a home away from home for Dale and his many friends. Until this day you still will hear the stories of "The Sea Turn". It was a dream of Dale's upon retiring, to open another 'Sea Turn". Upon closing Dale returned to Essex and began working at Gloucester Engineering.
Never living far from the ocean, Rusty loved the beach, boating, surfing, all things related to sun, sand, and surf.
"Rusty"/"Dale" was an avid reader who enjoyed history, especially regarding all American Wars.
He also acquired an extensive collection of artifacts from his travels around the world, which he loved to display and discuss for all who inquired.
Above all "Rusty's"/"Dale's" greatest love and joy in life were his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert D. Musgrave Sr. and Natalie (Perkins) Musgrave of Essex, MA.

"Rusty"/"Dale" leaves behind his twin daughters, Megan Musgrave and Jessica Musgrave; grandson Bryan Swain Jr. and granddaughter Hailey Musgrave, all of Gloucester, MA; a brother Winthrop Musgrave and his wife Emilie, their daughters Sara and Amy of Reading, MA; a sister Martha Musgrave Grealey and her husband James and their daughter Seana of Wells, Maine; former wife Maryanne Ryan Harkins, who have remained friends over the many years.

Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Thursday, November 7th from 4 to 8 p.m.
A graveside will be held on Friday, November 8th at 12 noon in Spring Street Cemetery, Essex. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
